The story of SMB Group began in 1974 with food sales and distribution activities in the Eastern Anatolia Region by Sabri Gül. Shaped by field experience, commercial discipline and a trust-oriented business mentality, this initiative quickly took the first steps of transforming from a regional structure to a corporate organizational model. The planned growth steps taken in the founding years formed the foundation of the operational power that SMB Group possesses today.

İkinci kuşağın katılımı ile birlikte SMB Grup'un faaliyet alanları genişledi; yalnızca gıda sektöründe değil, temizlik, kişisel bakım, otomotiv, enerji, mobilya ve tekstil alanlarında da operasyonel yatırımlar gerçekleştirildi. Bu dönem, şirketin distribütörlük ve kanal yönetimi kabiliyetlerinin çeşitlendiği; farklı sektörlerde yapılan iş birlikleri ile operasyon yapısının güçlendiği bir dönüşüm süreci oldu.
